Rights Respecting School
Children, staff and governors are very proud that the school has been re-accredited with the Gold Level Rights Respecting School Award.
Our children are a real credit and the assessors commented that the children are “confident and articulate children who are very knowledgeable about rights.”
Belmont's Sustainable Vision
In 2015, world leaders agreed to 17 goals for a better world by 2030. These goals have the power to end poverty, fight inequality and stop climate change. Guided by the goals, it is now up to all of us, governments, businesses, civil society and the general public to work together to build a better future for everyone (https://www.globalgoals.org/).
At Belmont School, we would like to focus on what those goals mean to us and how we as 'Pupil Leaders' can share understanding amongst the school community.
Our Rights Respecting Ambassadors meet half termly to discuss how they can link learning of the goals through our 'Exploration' curriculum. This will enable all pupil groups to focus and share knowledge of the 17 goals through various pupil lead activities.
