Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and diminish the achievement difference between them and their peers.
A pupil is deemed to be disadvantaged if they are recorded as eligible for Free Schools Meals (FSM) in the last six years, in the care of the local authority or adopted from care. Schools are free to use the Pupil Premium in the ways that they see as best for supporting disadvantaged pupils.
