  • Wealdstone Hub October Half term 24th- 28th Oct 2022

    Young people with additional needs/SEN- we promote inclusivity and invite young people with additional needs to all of our activities. We ask parents and professionals to provide EHCPs which outline support needs. If a young person requires consistent one to one support then we ask for a discussion to take place with our team regarding suitability and whether a parent/carer can stay on site. This needs to be in advance due to risk assessment purposes.

    The Makaton sign for this week is 'Diwali'. Diwali this will be celebrated on Monday 24th October.

    Diwali is the five-day Festival of Lights, celebrated by millions of Hindus, Sikhs and Jains across the world.

    Diwali, which for some also coincides with harvest and new year celebrations, is a festival of new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness.

    Harrow Woodcraft Folk’s groups cater to children and young people of all ages. While all our groups are underpinned by the same aims and principles, we explore these in an age-appropriate way through our different age ranges. As they progress through the organisation, young people grow in confidence and will have more opportunities to shape their group’s activities. 

     

    Elfins

    For 6 to 9 year olds, learning to work together and discover their world.

     

    Pioneers

    For 10 - 12 years olds. As their knowledge and understanding of the world increases, activities are geared towards helping them think critically and become more independent.

    This Saturday on 8th October we've got the Play In Wealdstone Square taking place between 12pm - 4pm and the forecast is looking good with 19 degrees and sunny intervals. 

    Wealdstone's Got Talent will be taking place on the 29th October where we will have a stage, PA system and an array of local talent performing.  

    We have an Open Call Out for local talent to perform, the deadline is on the 15th October to submit your entries
