Global Goal 4 – Quality Education - Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you are well. I want to start this newsletter by saying a huge thank you for all the support you have given the school this term. The whole school has such a positive atmosphere, and this wouldn’t happen without the positive messages you give to your children.
I know the staff feel proud to be part of a school where the parents, carers, staff and children work in partnership to create such a safe and caring atmosphere and where all children make excellent academic and social progress. I know this will continue next term, and I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
What is evident is how supportive you are in relation to your child's home learning. This week, Mrs McKenzie and I have seen so many wonderful pieces, and it is great to see your children bringing their home learning into school and wanting to show it off! You should feel so proud of yourselves!
Alongside your support for the children, many of you have been incredibly generous in donating to the school, the school’s chosen charity and the themed days we have had this term. For the Poppy Appeal, we raised £767, thank you.
This term has been incredible, from class assemblies, to the organised trips and visits, as well as the most wonderful end of term productions performed by Nursery, Reception and Year 1. We have such budding stars, and I would like to thank all parents who took the time out of their busy schedules and attended. Your children are awesome!
Parent Pupil and Staff Partnership (PPS)
I would like to extend my gratitude to all the parents who supported Mrs McKenzie and Mrs Pusey in organising our amazing Christmas Fair. It was such an amazing community event, and we are happy to announce that with your help, we raised over £1000 for the OPAL project! Thank you once again!
The raffle prize draw happened this morning, and for those lucky winners, the school office will be in contact with you to collect your prizes!
Thank you to all of the local companies that donated the prizes for the raffle.
Uniform Expectations
A reminder that you should be sending your child into school wearing the correct uniform:
1. All children will be allowed to wear black shoes or black trainers. The black trainers must have no
White/coloured soles or laces. If there are logos, these must be black (see pictures below):
2. The PE kit worn into school must be as follows:
- Black or white trainers with plain laces. (No brightly coloured trainers please)
- Black/Grey PE shorts, jogging bottoms (when it gets colder) or skorts – with no logo.
- Plain white T-shirt or polo shirt (with no logo)
- Pupils wear their purple school sweatshirt.
Please note that children should not be wearing any branded clothing and must only wear what is stated above.
Children in Year 5 and 6 will be expected to wear a school tie that can be bought from Teeny Wear in Harrow Weald. They must come to school wearing it on the first day back.
Long hair must be tied up. Hair accessories are not allowed and hijabs worn must be white.
