Global Goal 4 – Quality Education - Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
Dear Parents and Carers,
What a first week back! The weather this week has been interesting, from beautiful sunny weather to down pours that can only be found in the tropics! A reminder to all, please make sure that your child comes into school with a coat and sensible BLACK footwear daily.
We have had such a wonderful week of learning and performances!
We had 'Trick or Dress up day' on Monday. What a way to start the half-term. It was lovely to see how many of pupils and staff came to school dressed up!
We had an amazing cultural capital day on Tuesday where pupils across the school learnt about 'The Festival of Lights'. A big well done to 6 Jupiter for an amazing performance of the Diwali Story and explaining to parents and pupils why it is a big celebration for Hindus.
To end the week, the Year 6 prefects delivered a whole school assembly on why we celebrate Guy Fawkes! Well done prefects. With so many events planned this half-term, it will be by far one of the best we have had in a long while, so keep checking your pings and the school website!
Reception will be starting their Forest School Sessions on the school field this half-term and will also be going to the theatre to watch the production of 'The Stickman'.
Thanks to Mrs Atkins (our music teacher), we have been successful in an application to work with Wigmore Hall as a partner school. Wigmore Hall is one of the world’s great concert halls, specialises in chamber and instrumental music, early music and song that is based in Central London. They will be working with pupils and parents across the school, starting with our Stargazers and Year 4!
Home Learning Grids
The latest home learning grids were sent to all parents via ping. You should have received the Home Learning Policy via Ping.
Any task which the child takes home to work on is defined as home learning. It may take many forms from reading a book, accessing a web-based activity, to going to a library to undertake individual research or creating something physically or web based. The extent of parental involvement will depend on the age of the child and the type of work.
It is the responsibility of parents to ensure that work is completed to a good standard. Home learning should generally be enjoyable, relevant and appropriate to the learner. It is intended to reinforce and encourage learning and develop independence. It is a great way to find out what your child has been learning about in school and making sure that they know more, learn more and remember more.
All learning will need to be submitted by Friday 16th December! If you have any questions about any of your child's home learning, do not hesitate to ask your child's class teacher.
Annual Parent Questionnaire
You will have been sent out a letter yesterday to inform you that the annual parent questionnaire is life. We would love to have your feedback. Please click the link or scan the QR code and submit the forms by Friday 18th November:

If there is any further help you require, please do not hesitate to speak to any member of the school team.
We hope that you have a restful weekend and if you are going to brave the weather to celebrate Bonfire Night, please do be safe.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs P Aggarwall
